Michelob Prophecy
A few years ago, I was at a pastor's conference and after the morning service, several of us "anointed" ministers were seated at a large table in a restaurant swapping stories about "goofy things" that we had either experienced ourselves or heard about others in different Pentecostal services.
One of the stories that was about the "cream of the crop" came from a pastor who then pastored a pentecostal church in Joplin, Mo. several years before. He told us that he had one woman in his church who when she would get a little "miffed" toward someone else in the church, she would sometimes attempt to mimic the gift of prophecy and seek to straighten out her offenders through her so called vocal gift.
As the pastor, he had to address her abuse toward the church and she became offended, but still attended the church.
On this particular morning, Sister Bucket Mouth, arose to give a word of correction not to an individual, but to the leadership of the church for not recognizing her gift of prophecy. She began, by saying, "Yea, for behold there is even one among you that is gifted of the Lord, yet her prophetic gift has been quenched, nevertheless, I would say unto you, if you do not repent, I shall write Michelob over the door; Yea excuse me, saith the Spirit, I mean Ichabod!
I don't know what happened to this lady after this goofy prophecy, but I thought it was really funny what she did.
